Chesterton 324's Gland packing was created as a sealing device, but because it has to be dripping, it is more accurately called a restrictional device.
Chesterton 324 is a unique PTFE valve package treated specially with protective lubricants that will not harden and do not deteriorate in a variety of chemical applications. Valve testing has shown that high pressure is not able to squeeze the lubricant out of this inter-braid packing valve material. Chesterton 324 offers the same construction in a braid square formation.
